Maple Avenue Townhomes Approved
February 26th, 2014
The Morristown Planning Board approved The Maple Avenue Townhome Project, a luxury development located at the gateway to the town’s Historic District in Morristown, New Jersey. Normandy Real Estate Partners hired BartonPartners for their multi-family residential design expertise and experience in successfully navigating the requirements of historically conservative townships.
In a neighborhood of overtly early 20th century Victorian single family homes, Normandy knew that getting eight Federal Style townhomes approved was going to be an uphill battle. Courtesy of BartonPartners’ well-crafted design drawings and testimony, the process was successful with minimal changes to the initial design.
The project consists of eight, 3-story, brick and limestone townhomes with full height basements. Each of the 5,000 sf, 3-bedroom, 4½-bath homes features 10 foot first floor ceilings, fire places, master suite, large den convertible to a 4th bedroom, large roof deck, landscaped rear yard, private 2-car garage and emergency backup power. The full basements can also be customized to a bedroom suite, game room, gym/spa, etc.
The eighth unit is being designed for preselected private owner and is approximately 6,000 sf and features a luxury interior design package developed by BartonPartners’ Interior Design team. The new home features extensive wood paneling, custom built in cabinetry, coffered ceilings, wood burning fire places, gourmet kitchen, wine cellar, walk-in cedar closets and a salvaged Irish pub in the basement.
Construction is scheduled to start summer of 2014.
