Hurricane Sandy Victims Find Solace in Our Bayshore Village Project
June 5th, 2017
Monmouth County, NJ was affected greatly after Superstorm Sandy hit the Atlantic Coast in the fall of 2012. The storm left many limited-income seniors seeking alternative housing due to devastating flooding. Located less than half of a mile from Sandy Hook Bay, BartonPartners was asked by Community Investment Strategies Inc. (CIS) to design a state-of-the-art, 110-unit, flood-resistant apartment building for low and moderate income seniors. We at BartonPartners are happy to announce that, almost five years after the storm, the apartment building is now complete and available to the original property residents as well as other seniors impacted by the storm.
We would like to thank CIS for allowing us to be involved in such a meaningful project.
