BartonPartners announces necessary variances granted for National East

January 26th, 2015

BartonPartners is pleased to announce the Zoning Board of Adjustment in Philadelphia has granted all necessary variances for the National East. Designed as a 6-story mixed-use rental residential complex in the heart of the historic Old City neighborhood, The National East was subject to a greater level of scrutiny from multiple city agencies due to the sensitivity of the site, lying directly adjacent to Elfreth’s Alley. Working collaboratively our client, the Patriot National LLC and local representative Dale Corporation, BartonPartners designed the project with 192 market rate apartments, 6,500 square feet of street level and mezzanine retail, as well as below grade parking. The building incorporates the existing orange tile façade of the National Products Headquarters and pays homage to the mid-century modern architecture of the prior complex.
