Conifer Realty celebrates Groundbreaking of The Meadows in Atlantic City

February 25, 2015, Conifer Realty in association with the Atlantic City Housing Authority celebrated a groundbreaking of The Meadows in Atlantic City, Multifamily Affordable Housing Development. Representatives from the Christie Administration joined federal and local officials and the Atlantic City Housing Authority and Urban Redevelopment Agency and Conifer Realty. The Meadows will be developed by Conifer has been awarded $5.8 million in federal Sandy recovery funds. Some notables included in the shovel photo were Pamela T. James, Executive Director of Atlantic City Housing Authority (ACHA), James Robertson, New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (NJHMFA), Charles Lewis, Conifer Realty, Frank Gilliam, Council President of Atlantic City, David Reiner, Assistant Commissioner of NJ DCA and several other ACHA board members and Atlantic City council members. Barton Partners’ Principal, Tom Barton and Senior Project Manager David Seace also joined the celebration. The Project consists of the redevelopment of four city blocks as rental residential dwelling units under the HOPE VI program. There are 90 units in total, comprised of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom flats and townhomes. It also includes a new community building with management offices, fitness area, and a computer learning center.
