This renovation repositions the original 1970 modernist building into a contemporary live/learn environment, that is targeted toward UPenn graduate students. The exterior plaza entrance area will be refurbished with updated materials, furnishings, plantings, and lighting, along with minor cosmetic repairs and revisions to the hardscaping. Windows and storefront will be replaced, to ensure energy efficiency and fresh air standards. The existing construction of all floors of the residential towers and amenity spaces will be removed down to core and shell, and all new dwelling units and amenity spaces will be rebuilt. The project has been designed to LEED Silver standards.
