The Sterling

BartonPartners was commissioned by Apartment Investment and Management Company (AIMCO), a national multi-family owner/operator, to design various renovations of the Sterling Apartments with the rooftop being the primary focus. The rooftop pool & deck enhancements include a new raised social deck, designed for three-season outdoor use. The social deck, designed to be the “best rooftop amenity in Philadelphia”, will capture spectacular views of the city skyline. Potential uses include barbecue/outdoor eating, large screen monitor for TV, movies, and resident social events. Amenities include multiple lounge seating with outdoor heating, table and chair seating, wood decking, and a new large roof-top canopy to provide covering. The remaining pool deck will feature a new perimeter metal framed enclosure with glass wall panels, metal roof-top sun-shade cornices, new accent “green walls”, planters, and outdoor furnishings.
