Alden Park

Alden Park was a complete renovation to a multi-family residential apartment community consisting of six 10-13 story 1920’s Jacobean Revival style brick buildings. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the project obtained Historic Tax Credits which allowed for the full restoration of all exterior masonry facades and replacement of nearly all 7400+ windows, to comply with the Historic Preservation Ordinance and the National Park Service requirements. The interior renovations included a comprehensive refurbishing of all 760+ units which range from small studios to grand 3-bedroom apartments, as well as construction of 26 new accessible units within former office spaces. The project also included a holistic updating of all common and amenity spaces, such as the historic ground floor lobbies in each building, the indoor pool and fitness center, the insertion of a community clubroom, an outdoor pool/lounge area, and a new dog park.
