Mark recently joined BartonPartners in 2016 as a Principal to expand the firm’s Urban Design and Planning practice. During his 27 years of experience as a professional planner and architect, Mark has led innovative planning, redevelopment, downtown revitalization, transit-oriented development, form-based code and community outreach services for public and private sector clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Mark is passionate about the planning and design of dynamic places including villages, boroughs, downtowns, traditional neighborhoods, master planned communities, college towns and commercial districts. Through a collaborative planning process, he has extensive experience leading community planning efforts to build support for public-private partnerships, mixed-use development and walkable and transit-oriented places.
His work experience includes community planning projects in Doylestown, Paoli, Fort Washington, Ambler and Glenside in Southeastern Pennsylvania as well as master planning, village and downtown planning projects throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. Mark is an AICP professional planner, New Jersey professional planner and an AIA registered architect.
